The call for papers is open

We've just published the Call for Paper, and we're calling a public vote about the talks to be scheduled, just like last year.

Every year the Call For Papers is the moment when PyCon organizers ask the community to submit their proposals about the talks that will be given in the three days in Florence. If you think you have got an interesting topic to talk about, send us an abstract following the Call For Papers Guidelines without hesitation.

We're really glad our number keeps increasing . The talks are getting more interesting every year, and every year Pycon proves again to be a conference of the community and for the community.

That's why the topics and the speakers have never been imposed by the small group of the organizers, who just try to make the best selection in order to set the different topics in the small spaces and amounts of time we have got.

And that's why we decided to keep alive the practice, intoduced last year, of the community vote. We believe it is important for the choice of the talks to be put on schedule.

As Pycon organizers, we are going to vote like everyone else, just keeping to ourselves the chance to make sure the results are not too much unbalanced or reduced to a few topics.

The right of vote will be given to everyone who buy a ticket within 18th March ( that's in the middle of Early Bird period, therefore at a reduced price)

So if you're sure you'll attend PyCon 4 and you want to help us to turn it into a successful event again, buy a ticket within 18th March, and give your opinion about the talks you'd like to be put on schedule.
