Student of Computer Science at the Politecnico di Torino and GNU/Linux developer for the openmamba distribution (http://www.openmamba.org/), Stefano is also the creator of several open source projects, among which, there are:
- TOPTray, a small program to make life easier for people using the WiFi connection offered by the Politecnico di Torino (http://www.labinf.polito.it/whitone/toptray)
- Cygwin Easy, an autorun disk for Windows to get a Unix-like environment without having to install anything (http://www.cygwineasy.tk/)
- SimBloSys, a simple system in PHP to manage a blog, just based on ATOM files and without using any type of database (http://www.labinf.polito.it/whitone/source.php?page=index.php).
Lover of all types of operating systems, try to use multiplatform softwares in order to use them everywhere. The environment offered by the combination of Python and SPE (http://pythonide.blogspot.com/) allow him to move seamlessly from one machine to another without losing the thread of programming.
Open source supporter, tries to bring more people in this world, also with the laboratories that he takes from the beginning for the GNU/Linux course at the Politecnico di Torino (http://netstudent.polito.it/wiki/index.php/Corso).
