The most interesting infrastructural trend of the last years is the so called cloud computing. Amazon in 2006 started this fast paced evolution of the data centers when they introduced Amazon S3 and later that same year Amazon EC2. The market for cloud computing services has been booming since those days with now dozens of different offerings and service providers that sell their own management solutions on top of the official APIs.
In an effort to take advantage of all the benefits that come with an automatic and quick provisioning of hardware I've recently decided to migrate my company's data center entirely inside EC2. In this talk, after explaining the overall architecture of the system and evaluating the competition, I'll show the problems and lessons that I've learned during the migration and how Adroll.com Python infrastracture was adapted to run inside EC2.
